About Montenegro

Please note - flights to Tivat are offered in summer only, and to Podgorica, it's in winter.
Montenegro’s cities, like Podgorica and Tivat, have long been loved by locals and those visiting from other Balkan states. But thanks to a rise in new upmarket hotels and cruise ship routes, they’re now earning their rightful place as destinations for luxury holidays and cultured city breaks in their own right. You don’t have to be rich to holiday here – but these cities are certainly attracting the uber-wealthy who like to live the Montenegro high-life.
For a capital city, Podgorica is small but fascinating, attracting tourists in the summer for its relaxed vibe, rich history and architecture, shiny malls and vibrant cafe culture. Come winter, people flock to Podgorica for the ski season, with countless resorts of snow-covered slopes within easy driving distance of its airport. Kolasin is the most developed ski town, with high-end hotels, upmarket restaurants and indulgent spas.
Tivat is a different story. A seriously swanky seaside town, Tivat Riviera has 17 beaches, superyachts galore, and a posh promenade, thanks to a multimillion-dollar redevelopment of its old naval base into a high-end marina. This is the place to go for sun-worshipping, swimming in the sparkling sea, dining on fresh seafood, and letting your troubles melt away!
